Where have I been?

HHmmmmm where have I been?  Why haven’t I updated?  Beats the heck out of me.  Work.  Work.  Work.  Study.  Work.  Study.  Paint.  Clean house.  Work.  I don’t really know.  I took 3 credits this summer which were by far the easiest 3 credits I EVER took.  Finished them in about 3 weeks or so.  Now I’m nearing the end of the 1st credit of International Business, which is incredibly boring and aLOT of reading.  aLOT of vocabulary words, and well, we all know how I feel about vocabulary words.

We did get the sheetrock finished in the sewing room, and the first little coat of primer is on.  We’re getting closer!  My studying is getting in the way of the priming and finishing though.  HD put in a doggy door for our furry friends and Vinny, of course, is afraid of it.  Won’t go in or out without much coaxing.  Damn it anyway.  I’m taking Sammy to the vet on Friday to have him tested for diabetes and I don’t know what else.  But SOMETHING is making him very weak in the rear quarters.  It’s not old age and it’s not arthritus, so what is it?  He’s very spry otherwise, so it’s really disappointing and worrisome to see him just laying around.

We’ve been pricing insulation and siding to try to get our house done.  We have a plan for the basement and it needs much less repair and expense than originally thought, so that’s awesome!  Like that alot.  There’s hope that we won’t always be the Beverly Hillbilly house on our block.

Our plant manager who is AWESOME!!!!, left us yesterday.  He stayed with the company but took over Op Ex of Training in North Carolina.  We were all just sick over his leaving.  He leaves behind big shoes to fill.

We’re rolling our payroll system over from Oracle to PeopleSoft.  O M G.  The certification test is 4 hours.  I started mine today.  There are 20 elements they test on and I’ve gotten through 11 of them.  It’s nerve racking.  I’ve used PeopleSoft before, but it’s been years ago and alot has changed since then.   It will be a good system once we get going with it.  The go live date is September 28th.  We’re all holding our breath that the bugs are worked out before then and everything rolls over smoooooooth…  wishful thinking???

That’s about it from here.  Shear, we miss you.  I think about you alot.

Take care ladies.

  1. You are moving right ahead in school…Good for you! I’m in the school of raising boys still…my current class is learning to whittle and how to read animal tracks. I’m not very good at either one of them. I’d rather have vocabulary. :)
