Well girls.. it’s another year about shot in the foot isn’t it? Can you believe it’s only a matter of a couple weeks til Christmas already? Where oh WHERE has the year gone?
I have another cold. I think I’ve been over the last one for maybe 6 weeks? Last night, in the night, I thought hmmmm I kind of feel like I might be getting a cold. No, no.. I’m sure I’m not, I just had one. Well, this morning… yeah, that’s exactly what I have. Damn it anyway. I don’t feel bad, just runny nose, and now that it’s bed-time, a stuffed up head. Of course. I WAS sleeping earlier, but, due to my lack of air, I had to get up. BUT, when I got up, I find that I need to shampoo 2 rooms of carpet. 2 ROOMS! Yes, the dogs must have something too. I couldn’t tell you the last time we had any mess in the house. But tonight, 2 rooms, and looks to be from at LEAST 2-3 different dogs. Lovely. So, while HD slept, I shampooed the carpets. I C K!!!! They were completely gross. I found a puppy tooth on the floor too. It looks to be from one of the older too, so tomorrow, I’ll have to wrestle them down and see which one.. my guess is Sam. I found the tooth where he was laying, chewing a bone when I went to bed. Sweet old guy.
I’ve finally got my holiday baking hat on. Thursday night I made puppy chow, pretzles, peanut brittle and penuche. Today, I made 3 batches of cookie dough. With a little luck, I’ll even get them baked before Christmas. The puppy chow, pretzles and one batch of cookie dough went home with the kids today. Another batch of cookies needs to be mailed to Maryland, to HD’s son and his girlfriend. Maybe that will inspire?? no, motivate?? uhhh… make me??? get them done.
Finished my International Business class the week before Thanksgiving. What a horrid class. Still don’t have my grade back either. The instructor totally sucked and I rated him poorly on ratemyprofessor.com. Funny, he was already ON there, rated poorly… So was the Marketing teacher I had the first time around. HHmmmm interesting. My next class is Microsoft Integration, with Office 2007. That shouldn’t be toooo bad, I don’t think, other than the database part. I’m not Access savy at all, and I like it that way. Then, a Social Science class this summer and Economics — GAG — in the spring. That leaves me with 2 more courses then. The end is so close, but so far.
HD seems to really be on the mend from his surgery. Daughter In Law seems to be doing well too, now, after the whole twisted ovary thing. And I think my niece who had back surgery the week of Thanksgiving is doing well too. What a stressful few days we had. I’m hoping the new year brings good health to everyone and a windfall of money wouldn’t be too shabby either.
I started the baby quilt. Pooh is their theme. I figured I had better start it while I wasn’t in class or I would have no self restraint to study. I need to make 20 more blocks and then I’ll be ready to put the top together. Since the baby isn’t due until July, I should have time to finish it after my next class but before the bundle of joy arrives. Our Black Friday shopping was all about the diapers on sale at Hy-Vee, WITH a $2 off coupon ta boot! We must have saved a total of about $40 on 10 pks of diapers. We bought various sizes from NB to 2. And we found Huggies coupons online that are good til December 31st, and you can print as many as you want. Thanks MommySavesBig.com! With that, I’m going to use my Nedi Pod and see if I can go back to bed. I would love to sleep AND breathe!
